Midnight Musings

There was a chill emanating from under the door to your study. You don't remember opening the window last night... well, a few hours ago, when you went to bed after working on a few new chapters to your new book. You quietly make your way, gently turning the handle, pushing the door open the wee-est bit. What you saw through the small crack in the door, all but took your breath away. She was resting on the edge of the desk, her face illuminated by the soft glow of the Christmas lights. Her hair tied up in two long, messy braids, her bangs framing her stunning face. Your eyes drift over her body, perfectly hugging her every curve, the soft lace details making for an apt beginning and a just as apt end. You were so enchanted by this vision of this unannounced visitor that you didn't notice the loose sheets of your book flying out of the window, or that you didn't know her. But you also didn't realize she was looking right at you invitingly with an unmistakable hint of a sneer on her luscious lips.
