Metropolis
You would see all sorts riding the subway. This is curiously true in any part of the world. The busy, the brisk, the broken, the bright. It's always an interesting mix. But once in a while, you see someone you can't take your eyes off of. Your heart skips a beat if you see her looking right back at you. She knows what you're thinking - she's used to it. But you can't quite gather what thoughts are concealed behind her gaze or that soft smile she seems to have plastered on the corners of her mouth.
